Mental Health Support

Racing Queensland, QRISP, the ATA and AJA believes the offering of industry wide access to experts in mental health will lead to better overall health and safety outcomes across the Queensland Racing Industry.

Jockeys

Jockeys have access to their own dedicated Mental Health Support Program called Mental Notes. This is a dedicated mental health support service provided to all Queensland Jockeys through the AJA. This service can be accessed through www.mentalnotepsych.com/contact or by clicking this button

Racing Industry Participants (exc. jockeys)

Free confidential counselling is also available for all other Queensland Racing Industry Participants.

Through this Mental Health Service, racing participants can access:

- Four (4) FREE confidential counselling and/or coaching sessions;

- access to Telus Health's online platform, educational information, tools and resources.

 

Telus Health, who provides this program to all racing participants (exc. jockeys), can be reached on 1300 360 364 for appointments, or via their website at www.benestar.com

 

 

 

External specialist Mental Health provider - Telus Health (formerly known as Benestar), provides this service on behalf of Racing Queensland.  It is offered to all Queensland-based licensed Trainers, employees of those Trainers, Committee Members and employees of licensed race clubs in Queensland, Association employees and ancillary workers such as Farriers, Horse Breakers and Trackwork Riders.
